Fatsound.Productions proudly announces the release of A FOREST OF DREAMS’ fourth album on October 30, 2022. Started as a personal project from DS13, in a foray through the Sintra mountains on a rainy and foggy day.
According to him: I decided to do a photo shoot to celebrate my 50th birthday.
A Forest of Dreams name came into my mind due to the mystical presence of Sintra’s woods. I was covered by the rain and the fog like a silver-coloured cloak, so the project was born. Meanwhile, we found ourselves during a global pandemic that sent us back to misanthropy and isolation and thus, the first album, cold and instrumental, was born.

Initially, there were no goals, just to kill time and show my colder and darker side with instrumental themes based on my experience travelling through the mystical Serra de Sintra. Still, over time, it seemed that something was missing from the music. With the help of a friend, Vulturius, AFOD stopped being an instrumental band to be a project with voice and lyrics, thus continuing the theme of Sintra and its mysticism.

Thus was born the second album, already sung in Portuguese, “Sacrum Terram”. Forest of Dreams becomes a two-piece band, DS13 in musical composition and Vulturius in lyrics and vocals.

“Quando a Morte chama por nós” is a different album. Again, we found ourselves during the pandemic’s second phase; we all lost someone close. Everything was out of control, and we couldn’t do anything. Due to that, it’s an album with a more classic approach to Black Metal with less ambience and a more raw and dirty sound that tries to convey the feelings experienced at that dark time in our history.


“3459” Is a more mature album, made with the care of transmitting our feelings and thoughts about different themes, the pagan world, the history of Portugal, and life among granite mounds and stone houses. The album’s name comes from a dream I had in which, in the year “3459” of our era, the last human being took his last breath, leaving the planet orphaned by humanity.
Until now, no album is entirely conceptual; there is always a freedom to escape the central theme in one or another piece, keeping the theme inherent to the project, The Forest, the Mysticism of Sintra and the the ancient times…

The current lineup consists of DS13 (Cavemaster, Karbonsoul, Projekt NOIR) on guitar, keyboards, sampling and programming, and Vulturius (Irae, Burning Death, Decayed) – Vocals and lyrics.

Fatsound.Productions label on 30th October, the day A Forest of Dreams completes 3 years, will release in digital format on Bandcamp and until the end of the year the Digipak CD. Currently, you can pre-order by email at fatsound.productions@gmail.com and on Bandcamp.
