Hailing from Pomerania, Poland, comes Embarla Firgasto to the competitive extreme metal scene. Krystian Lukaszewicz (known by the moniker LDB) is the creator of this Black/Death Metal project, and in the recent past, he acted as the guitarist of the Polish death metal bands Resurrection and Deathstawn. In 2018 the first EP was released by Embarla Firgasto, Inter Spem et Metum. After four years of intense dedication, on 1st August, Krystian is about to release the first full-length album, Temporal Capsule.

The album consists of five tracks, each a “chapter”, which we can say are concept tracks. What we get from Temporal Capsule is raw but well structured. The structure is and always has been crucial; simply putting together many sonic and instrumental pieces and weaving a patchwork quilt with no sense of aesthetics is highly outdated and flawed. This is not the case with Embarla Firgasto; good! The guitar is the star of this endeavour that required dedication. With a visceral melody, Temporal Capsule has several layers that interpose, and dissonance is placed almost subtly, not spoiling what was built. The drums merge and are dedicated to bursting moments and more restrained and slow; maybe things could be better worked here, but hey, this is a starter of a solo project full of potential.

Classic root death metal vocals intertwined with clean, whispered moments make the tracks exciting and not massive and boring. The atmosphere created is cold, full of harshness and oppression, but the melodic and soft moments make Temporal Capsule a fascinating album. I was honestly surprised. The certainty that with each subsequent work of LDB, the dexterity and quality will become superior will make me pay attention to the following actions of Embarla Firgasto. Another noteworthy point is the sincerity and humility of this beginner musician when sending his work for evaluation. Critics, even if negative, are welcome because his work through this would improve significantly. So many who consider themselves “stars” and say they don’t care about the opinion of fans and critics make me not even listen to their music anymore.

Your debut work is noteworthy, Krystian Lukaszewicz. As I explained earlier, it was well structured and had memorable moments for a beginner in this art so complex and beautiful that it is extreme metal. The album cover art is very professional and faithfully portrays the lyrical message. Congratz bro.
I am looking forward to your future works.
