Finnish Marrasmieli is back with their second album of atmospheric pagan black metal. Lyrically, this new piece of art leans more towards darker themes. The music is haunting yet deeply atmospheric and carries the same pagan and melancholic splendour of former works. The album was produced and mixed by Nattvind and Zannibal and mastered by Henri Sorvali of Trollhouse Audio. Naturmacht Productions will proudly release the priceless album, Martaiden mailta, on 8th April 2022.

For those yet not acquainted (the thing that I doubt), Marrasmieli is a pagan/folk black metal band from Lake Tuusula. Their name Marras is an old Finnish word for death, and mieli means mind/mood. Therefore, Marrasmieli has a literal translation of “death of the mind/mood” or “dying mind/mood”.
They released their self titled EP debut album in 2018 through Naturmacht Productions. The debut full-length album, Between Land and Sky, was released on 27th January 2020. The band consists of Nattvind (Drums, vocals, choirs, acoustic guitar, spoken word, shaman drum and percussion), Zannibal ( Guitar, bouzouki, violin, keyboard programming, ukulele, acoustic guitar and jaw harp), Maelgor (Bass, recorder, choirs, spoken words), Dödkveld (Keyboards, accordion, choirs) and Hordak (Guitar and choirs).
